We hired Jorge and his crew to redo our very large deck and were impressed at the thoroughness and quality of the whole project. Starting from the bidding process Jorge showed me the many supporting posts of our raised deck that needed to be replaced because they had rotted. The other two bids I had received either saw almost none of the rotted wood or found half and gave me a much higher bid. Jorge was meticulous in his work and all members of his team were highly capable and friendly. We are very happy with the results including the refinished deck, completely redone stairs and fence repairs. We would definitely hire him again for other projects.
Our old deck was 20 years old and falling apart. We got several prices to repair/replace. JC Decks came and gave us a price to tear down and start fresh. It was pricey but well worth it to last a lifetime. We went with trex . All new post, rails ,steps and new lights . Also did a small steps with a landing coming out of the garage to match. Put down new gravel under the deck to add to the existing gravel. Work was done and they cleaned up . A year later JCDecks came back a pressure wash the deck for us at no charge.
We had some restoration work done on our 2 level deck by another company, and it was a nightmare. Jorge was able to redo the shoddy workmanship and he did a great job. The final product was very beautiful. He is very skilled, diligent and professional. He made the needed repairs and easily adapted to other suggestions we had. The work was done quickly and professionally. He is very reliable and has reasonable prices. Additionally, he is very friendly, committed to customer satisfaction, and is just a really nice guy. Jorge and crew have done Three jobs for us over the last year. After we moved into our home, we found that the supporting posts were rotting out. Jorge and team provided a reasonable estimate of the work and replaced all posts. Next we discovered that the bottom deck was rotting out and the area under the deck had not been prepared. They removed all the rotten joists and boards, Dug out the area under the deck, installed gravel and re-built the deck with trex. Again Jorge and team did a great job. Finally, over this winter I discovered one of our exterior doors was rotting out at the base and found that it had even rotted out some of the sub floor inside. Jorge and Israel were available to come investigate the issue provide a reasonable estimate on the work needed to repair and seal the entry. On this most recent job I was a bit frustrated that the materials and labor went over his estimate. But I would still get an estimate from them on future work that we have.
We used them to replace rotting boards and refinish the deck. They did an excellent job, and in hindsight this was well below their skill level. I decided to take down the old screen and skirt to open things up and discovered the main 4x4 posts were rotted out. I texted them and they came out the very next day. Horrified by the rot, they made a plan to make my deck safe again. It was completed in just 4 days. I effectively have a new deck now! The price was reasonable, the value was great, and they were conscious of both aesthetics and safety - the perfect combo. I will be using them for my deck upkeep for years to come.
